Not all theses options are available at all locations so please check with
Volunteerinindia when planning your EXPERIENCE.
Homestay - Homestay accommodation is one of the best ways to really
learn about the daily life of an Indian family. All our families have been
carefully selected and will provide you with a room, 3 meals per day and
their warm hospitality. An average family home may consist of about
four member, India still follow follows a joint family system.
Dorm/Hostel accommodation This alternative to homestay can offer you
more freedom and in some volunteer programs may be the only alternative.
Once again, VolunteerinIndia has chosen facilities that as much as possible
can ensure your comfort. All facilities are also chosen on compliance with
service standards and are a safe environment for you.
Ashram / Mediation retreats -
Participating in the life of an ashram
is an experience that should not be missed while you are in India. You day
in an ashram will likely start with mediation before breakfast and you will
participate as all other members of the ashram. Each ashram has its own
set of rules and these will be detailed to you upon application. |
