Programs >> Volunteer in Rishikesh                            Program Brochure

Our Volunteer in Rishkesh program gives its participants a unique opportunity to volunteer at one of the most holy cities of the world. Know as the "World Yoga capital". A typical week includes 5 days of volunteering combined with cultural and spiritual lessons.

Rishikesh is a holy city for Hindus located in the foothills of the Himalaya in northern India

It is traditionally known as the spiritual capital of the globe. From the music legends like "The Beatles" to
new age celebrities like actor Kate Winslet - everyone wants to come down to this city of Yogi's and Temples. Rishikesh, sometimes nicknamed "the world-capital of Yoga", has numerous yoga and meditation centres that also attract tourists. It is believed that meditation in Rishikesh brings one closer to attainment of moksha, as does a dip in the holy river that flows through it.

It is also becoming a popular spot for white water rafting enthusiasts, both from India and abroad, as it offers medium to rough rapids in the course of river Ganges.
