Programs >> Volunteer Ladakh
Ladakh is the most spectacular land mass on earth bounded by two of the tallest mountain ranges; the Himalayas and the Karakoram, it lies athwart two other, the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range. It’s a high altitude barren desert lying amidst some of the highest peaks and passes in the world. No words can express the tranquility and the all alluring beauty of Ladakh. There is no place in the world better than Ladakh to find the peace within.

Ladakh is often referred to as the "Little Tibet"; Buddhism reached Tibet from India via Ladakh. It is the trans-Himalayan region, which separates the western Himalayan peaks from the Tibetan plateau. In geological terms, this is a young land, formed only a few million years ago by the buckling and folding of the earth's crust as the Indian sub-continent pushed with irresistible force against the immovable mass of Asia.

Ladakh was one of the last cultures on the earth to come in contact with Western culture and because of which it still holds  its authenticity. Only here can you find the Tibetan cultural in its most raw form. There is no better place  to experience the true Buddhist cultural and spiritual traditions. The monks here have perfected the art of meditating and are been researched by many school around d the world for the many amazing feats they are able to perform through their meditation techniques.
